Owen is a bright, talkative 7 year old boy who loves connecting with the people around him. He has a big personality and enjoys sharing his thoughts—even if his words sometimes come out a little differently. Owen is very social and happiest when someone takes the time to listen and engage with him. Owen loves playing with dinosaurs, Magna Tiles, Legos, and Play Doh. He often enjoys independent or parallel play and can happily focus on building and creating. Owen is proud of being able to help out around the house—whether that means picking up after himself or helping care for the dogs. Owen is learning important skills every day. Owen is kind and playful. Owen will need supports from a family to help him continue to build emotional regulation and coping skills. Owen does best with adults who are patient, calm, and consistent. Caregivers will need to be attentive, supportive and help him feel safe. Only families who will consider Owen and his sister, Saphira, are being considered at this time.
